The commercial space sector is fostering novel approaches to business and innovation, supported by evolving funding models. Projections suggest the industry may reach a $1 trillion valuation by 2030. However, achieving this growth hinges on the sector’s ability to attract and retain skilled talent, which is proving challenging. Success depends on engaging individuals who value equitable compensation, inclusive policies, work-life balance, and transparency. Equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) principles are proposed as a solution to systemic issues but require further exploration within commercial space. Through Clark’s triangle of coordination, this chapter examines how academia, companies, and state institutions can support the systemic changes needed to build an EDI culture essential for growth. We propose extending the model to include the space community, media, and influencers as essential actors in advancing a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive workforce.

Abstract
We propose extending the model to include the space community, media, and influencers as essential actors in advancing a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive workforce.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
