The phenomenon of Big Data intersects with comparative law and justice in several noteworthy profiles. First, the comparative approach leads to identifying the peculiar characteristics of the data through a conceptual framework of the same in the perspective of other disciplines, in particular economics and information technology. Then, in view of the different legal issues posed by Big Data, comparative law can help develop and provide data management and analysis services across national borders. Finally, the application of data analysis methods to legal issues can give rise to "Legal Big Data" through which it might be possible to observe evolutionary patterns and paths of law, foresee or adopt jurisprudential decisions, develop and apply laws or regulations based on solid argumentative and comparative elements.
