Introducing new communication tools in historical contexts is generally considered a difficult task, both because of the opportunity to penetrate into the old, and because of the “difficult” proxemic relationship between what is new and what is pre-existing. Today there are many interventions in historical centres with which innovative signage is introduced, precisely in proximity to buildings of historical and artistic interest, now on the strength of a more careful and shared evaluation of the socio-cultural advantages obtainable, and as heirs of experimentation in the design of outdoor musealisation supports, which have provided better solutions in terms of form and materials.

Abstract
Introducing new communication tools in historical contexts is generally considered a difficult task, both because of the opportunity to penetrate into the old, and because of the “difficult” proxemic relationship between what is new and what is pre-existing. Today there are many interventions in historical centres with which innovative signage is introduced, precisely in proximity to buildings of historical and artistic interest, now on the strength of a more careful and shared evaluation of the socio-cultural advantages obtainable, and as heirs of experimentation in the design of outdoor musealisation supports, which have provided better solutions in terms of form and materials.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
