In the two dimensions of drawing, the concept of space found, at the beginning of the 20th century, one of its most significant reformulations in theory and application in the thinking of the Russian painter and graphic artist El Lissitzky. This study analyses, in particular, the use of axonometric representation and visual ambiguity in his artistic production, which, together with the theoretical assumptions of the Suprematist and Constructivist avant-garde, constituted a fundamental propulsive moment for the use of the method in visual design. In the light of the numerous scientific studies, both philosophical and drawing, focused on the artist, some significant works are therefore critically re-read, considering both pictorial and graphic production. The work then highlights the peculiarities of the spatial relationships between the compositional elements of the drawing and the aspects of innovation that will constitute, in the years to follow, a point of reference in the context of graphic design.

Abstract
The work then highlights the peculiarities of the spatial relationships between the compositional elements of the drawing and the aspects of innovation that will constitute, in the years to follow, a point of reference in the context of graphic design.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
